To take advantage of the renewal discount, you must still have your physical card, or a digital copy in the wallet section of the New York State Parks Explorer App. All Empire Pass card products are non-returnable and non-refundable after purchase. Frequent Empire Pass purchasers may be interested in a multi-season Empire Pass which can be bought online, by mail or telephone. Upon purchase you will be mailed an Empire Pass. Please note: : Empire Passes purchased by check will be processed after the check is cleared for sufficient funds.

Note: Only the Empire Pass card is acceptable to waive the vehicle entrance fee. The online order confirmation is not acceptable for admission. The card is an annual use card and can be renewed online, directly through Empire Pass, at the Empire Pass discounted rate.

The Empire Passport is usable for passenger vehicles or any vehicle the holder is in. The Empire Passport may be used while the holder is visiting the facility. The Empire Passport may be permanently affixed as described below. It will be accepted if it's been altered in any way or is adhered with tape. Cars - driver's side window, front or rear Motorcycles - left side; prominently displayed Boats - inside of hull in a protected, but visible area when the boat is the primary vehicle which would otherwise incur a fee to enter the facility.
For boat launch sites the Empire Passport must be affixed to the vehicle towing the boat.
