Myself and husband were blown away. Heather had an extra special family that she truly deserved. From this experience I have since taught my grandson how to do the same using Lachlann dollars for chores etc. Hearher's disposition was Definately if life hands you lemons make lemonade. Well cheers to all her family at this time. She would want you all to have a full glass of lemonade in hand while saying your farewells.
Post a reply. Jim, I can't even express sufficiently how very sorry I was to hear of Heather's passing. It's hard to believe that someone so full of life could be gone. The things I will remember the most are her infectious laugh and that twinkle in her eye that told you she was up to something. She loved her garden and had a green thumb we were all envious of.
She was very crafty at sewing, knitting, cross stitching, and pretty much everything else as well as being a great cook. During our coffee nights she would tell the funniest stories and have Carey and I almost running to the bathroom because we were laughing so hard! We had so much fun on the golf course too, back in the day. I remember us golfing at Cochrane and our hair actually stood on end because lightning was very close - fortunately neither of us was hit.
She could drink most of us under the table as everyone can attest to at the RTM or was it a hockey party? Amazing performance! She definitely lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed. Although I can't be there on Friday, I want you to know that Heather, you and the girls will be in my thoughts. I will have a glass of wine or maybe 2 and make a toast to her memory.
I would like to express my condolences to Heather's family. How very sad to hear of her many bouts with cancer. I remember Heather as always being wonderfully optimistic. She had an easy smile and an upbeat personality.
